Dawn is a proud wife and mom, with a blended family of four kids. She has been passionate about homeschooling since 2005. She was involved in the homeschool community in Sacramento for over 12 years. During that time she was blessed to run her own facility as a vendor for several charter schools with 52 students. She enjoys helping families navigate the new journey of homeschool life. She loves teaching children and finds joy in introducing educational concepts through tactile activities. She believes in hands-on curriculum and meeting children where their needs are. She had the privilege of running an in-home licensed childcare and preschool for 13 years. She has many years of volunteer experience with local public schools, offering theater programs and after school tutoring. She loves children's’ literature and looks forward to any opportunity to bring books to life through food, games, and music. She led a children's’ choir at her church for 10 years and currently sings with the worship team at Camino Community Church. Her latest adventure working with children was with a Montessori school where she taught the 2-5 year olds. She’s really excited about this new opportunity, to be back in the homeschool community and working with little ones again!

My name is Alejandra Ramirez and I am from Redwood City, California. My family and I moved to El Dorado County about four years ago. I am a mom of three boys Julio, Carlos and Humberto.
I love the profession of teaching and Ive always wanted to be a teacher. I studied education in San Diego State and San Jose State University, where I received my Bachelor's degree. I spent ten years working in San Jose, California as a Kindergarten teacher. I've also had the privileged of teaching first, second and sixth grade.
Working with children is my absolute favorite thing to do. I enjoy investing in young people who will ultimately be the next generation to lead our country. I love seeing children learn and its great thrill seeing them discover new knowledge, experiences and expanding their understanding.
I am also a woman of faith and attend Camino Community Church with my family. I believe in the sovereignty of God over our lives. Our family loves Christ and we do our best to follow His teachings. I like to remember what Jesus says about children when He states, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:13-16)
I look forward to meeting you and your families. We welcome you with love to Curriculum Connections!
Eowyn (Wyn, or Mrs. M) studied Fashion and Costume Design at UC Davis and Liberal Arts at Solano Community College. She has been homeschooling Her two children for the past 9 years. Eowyn is an experienced seamstress, artist, and an award-winning quilter. She is never far from a needle and thread and is always ready to share the joys of arts and crafts.
Around the county She volunteers at the Ol' Coloma Theater, Placerville’s Imagination Theater, runs a sewing circle at the Cameron Park Library, facilitates a Craft Club at the Placerville Library, and is an active member of the Gold Bug Quilters Guild.
"I am excited to be part of Curriculum Connections and I feel truly honored to be part of your children’s lives."- Mrs. M
Amanda is a wife of 5 years and a dedicated mom to her two-year-old son. She is very passionate about the treasures and truths found in God’s Word and loves nothing more than to share them with others. Amanda has acknowledged God her whole life but has been a born-again Christian for 6 years and diligently studies the Word of God on a weekly, if not daily, basis. She believes that saturating a child’s life with the Word of God and its principles is the most important thing we can do as parents. ”Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.“ Proverbs‬ â€22‬:â€6‬ â€
Originally from the blistering deserts of Arizona, Amanda thoroughly appreciates the woodsy surroundings of her home in Pollock Pines. She loves to garden and spend her free time outside with her family.

Miriam Wickham is a hard driven college student at Folsom Lake College who is studying to become a teacher. She was homeschooled from kindergarten up into highschool and has been blessed to
grow up in a large, loving family.
She enjoys spending time with kids and has had many opportunities to work with the elementary age group. She worked as a gymnastics teacher for preschool and above for a year and really enjoyed the experience. As of this past year, she worked as an instructor for fourth graders
on fieldtrips centered around the California Gold Rush. Miriam has a passion for art and loves to fill her free time with creative art activities and outdoor adventures.
Most importantly though, Miriam seeks to honor God in the way she lives and is so grateful for the many ways she has been blessed by Him.
My name is Vanessa.
I’m a wife and a mom of 2 girls. Isabella and Olivia.
I was born and raised in El Salvador, That's where I met my husband 11 years ago. It was Gods plan. We got married and I moved to the United States.
We've been living in El dorado county for 3 years now. I love working with kids because every days is different.
I am excited to meet all the children and families at curriculum connections.
Hello, my name is Melissa and I am thankful to have the opportunity to be a homeschool mom for my three young children. My husband and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary and enjoy being involved in our church: He serves as the Jr. High Pastor and I co-lead our young mom’s ministry. We count ourselves blessed to call beautiful El Dorado County home and can be found at Apple Hill or Sly Park Lake depending upon the time of year.
I studied psychology and theology at Simpson University for my BA and minor, and have my MA in Professional School Counseling from Brandman University. Science is one of my favorite subjects to explore and I took extra science courses in college just for fun. I have worked in K-12 education for most of the past 10 years in various roles including intervention services for at-risk youth, school counseling and substitute teaching.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your students! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Hello! My name is Skylar Brady, and my husband and I have been living in El dorado County for over 10 years. Originally from New York, I moved to california and attended school at folsom Lake College. My family and I live on a farm where we raise cows, pigs, and many of our own fruits and veggies. I have been operating greenhouse and outdoor vegetable gardens for the past 10 years. When I'm not homeschooling my 6 year old daughter ,I like cooking homemade recipes, baking things from scratch, and sharing this love with younger ones to teach them self-sufficiency and appreciation for nature. One of my greatest accomplishments thus far in our homeschooling journey has been teaching my daughter to read. I enjoy sharing the love of learning and books with my children and spending time with little ones , who make you stop and appreciate the small, joyous things in life ! I try to lead by example and have enjoyed sitting by my daughter as she learns about life and all of its blessings through the grace of God. I am looking forward to the opportunity to share my teaching and life skills with others.
