K-3 Exploring Habitats (Life Science)

Service Description
Class Description: Join us for an adventure as we explore 9 different habitats and the amazing animals and plants that live there through literature and hands-on activities! Habitats include: Arctic, desert, freshwater, mountain, rainforest, woodlands, savannah, ocean, urban and antarctic. Each week we will learn about our habitat through literature, a unique sensory bin, STEM challenge and other activities. Each student will also work on completing a habitat book that they will get to take home at the end of the semester. State Standards: This class promotes State Standards for Science including identifying animal and plant characteristics, describing the behavior of plants and animals, understanding the basic needs of animals and plants, recognizing that animals and plants need food and shelter and that living things have habitats in different environments to suit their needs and providing examples of traits that are influenced by the places that plants and animals inhabit.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your enrollment and don't plan on attending any classes during the semester, your $20 registration fee will be reimbursed up to 1-week before the first day of the semester. All unused class fees will be reimbursed up to 24 hours before the first day of the semester, minus the non-returnable portion of your class fees that went toward class materials for your student. If a child needs to drop a class after the semester has begun, we can prorate their class fees up til the end of the third week. No class fees will be returned or prorated after the end of the 3rd week. If you're joining the class late, prorated policies are determined on a case-by-case basis, by each instructor.
